TransOikeiology: Practices on natural mythologies” // 26-31 Julio // Summer Workshop

El grupo de investigación UPM “TRANS.  Observatorio de prácticas transdisciplinares en arquitectura”, asociado a DPA ETSAM, y formado por los profesores Juan Herreros, Jesús Ulargui, Juan Elvira, Nieves Mestre, Javier Mosquera, Nestor Montenegro, Manuel Pascual, Lys Villalba, Enrique Espinosa y Uriel Fogué, participa en el proyecto europeo LINA: European Architecture Platform (https://lina.community/).  LINA es un proyecto trianual a través del cual tejer redes con arquitectos emergentes europeos. En 2022-2023 Trans trabaja con el colectivo griego Tirilab, desarrollando el proyecto TransOikeiology, explorando las relaciones entre arquitectura, ruralidad, territorio y ecología. El evento principal de la colaboración será un taller de verano que se desarrollará en Morfi (Thesprotias, Grecia), del 26 de julio al 31 de julio 2023: “TransOikeiology: Practices on natural mythologies”, en el que 7 estudiantes ETSAM participarán junto a docentes TRANS, docentes y estudiantes de la Universidad de Atenas, y el equipo de Tirilab.

The European platform LINA is a network connecting relevant institutions with emerging practitioners and thinkers who work at the intersection of architecture and other fields related to spatial culture: it aims to promote up-and-coming talent. LINA’s goal is to steer design and building processes towards regenerative practices and principles of de-growth in line with the values of the European Green Deal. TiriLab, is an initiative and an open platform which explores multi-cultural heritage related to local technologies, gastronomy, and culture specifics from rural communities in northern western Greece. During the last years we have worked together with women cooperatives and associations in Thesprotia aiming to create an active knowledge network, in order to empower them, give them visibility and foster their multi-layered identity. Tirilab is part of the Erasmus+ program “A school of commons”.
